Early‑Stage Cultural Project
Racine Blues Society (RBS) is a early‑stage, community‑based project celebrating Blues music in Racine. Our work is rooted in the belief that the Blues carries the stories, memory, and identity of our city. We aim to strengthen Racine’s cultural life by creating welcoming, inclusive spaces where residents and visitors can connect through music, history, and shared experience.
Fiscal Receivership
RBS operates under fiscal receivership through Create Wisconsin, the statewide arts organization. All grant funds and donations are processed securely through Create Wisconsin and must be designated for “Racine Blues.” This partnership provides financial oversight as we build the organizational foundation needed for long‑term sustainability.
Mission
Our mission is to honor the past, support local artists, and foster cultural access through the Blues. We are committed to strengthening Racine’s cultural life by developing community‑centered programming that welcomes all residents and visitors.
Leadership
The Racine Blues Society is facilitated by Racine Blues LLC, which provides administrative support and guides the organization’s early development into a 501(c)(3). Leadership is grounded in cultural stewardship and community trust, with a focus on building a governance framework that reflects Racine’s identity and supports future Blues programming in Racine.
